Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully. They govern your access to and use of the Homeschool Reports website, tools, and services.

Effective: July 17, 2026
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Governing law: State of Georgia, USA

Welcome to Homeschool Reports. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Homeschool Reports (“Homeschool Reports,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of homeschoolreports.com and any related pages, records tools, subscriptions, and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, checking a box indicating your acceptance, or completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. These Terms apply to every visitor, user, and customer of the Service.

2.Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to create an account or make a purchase. The Service is intended for use by parents, guardians, and educators managing homeschool records. Any student information you enter is entered by you as the responsible adult.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to protect your account.

3.Description of the Service

Homeschool Reports provides online tools that help families create, organize, and generate homeschool records such as attendance logs, progress reports, report cards, transcripts, certificates, and related documents. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service, or any particular feature, will always be available or error-free.

Plans and student limits. The Service is offered on a Free plan and on paid subscription plans. Each plan includes a limit on the number of students whose records you may download: the Free plan includes one downloadable student, the Family plan nine, and the School plan an unlimited number. Students above your plan’s limit remain fully visible and editable in your account; only the ability to export their records as PDF documents is limited. Accounts that held more students than their plan’s limit when those limits were introduced retain their previous limit.

Watermarking. Documents downloaded on the Free plan carry a visible PREVIEW watermark. Paid plans produce documents without a watermark. The watermark affects the downloaded document only and does not affect the data stored in your account.

4.Subscriptions, Billing & Renewals

Certain features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice. By purchasing, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for all applicable fees and taxes.

Where a subscription renews automatically, it will continue for successive billing periods at the then-current rate until you cancel. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period except as described below or as required by law.

5.Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time, and it will remain active through the end of the paid period. Because the Service delivers digital tools and documents, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated at the point of sale. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review your request in good faith.

6.Your Content & Records

You retain ownership of the information, student data, and records you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and to generate the documents you request.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of Your Content and for maintaining your own backup copies of important records. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, you should not rely on the Service as your only copy of records you are legally required to keep.

Keep your own copies. Homeschool records may be legally required in your state. Please download and retain personal copies of any documents you may need for compliance, testing, or enrollment purposes.

Retention of saved reports. “Saved reports” means the report cards, progress reports, transcripts, certificates, and diplomas you generate in your account. While you hold an active paid subscription, your saved reports are retained for as long as that subscription remains active.

If your account is on the Free plan — whether because you signed up for the Free plan, cancelled a paid subscription, or moved to the Free plan — your saved reports are cleared on a recurring 6 month cycle. The cycle begins on the date your account moved to the Free plan and repeats every 6 months for as long as the account remains on the Free plan. On each clear date the saved reports held at that time are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Moving to a paid subscription ends the cycle. This retention policy took effect on 7 August 2026.

This applies to saved reports only. Your account, your student profiles, student photographs, attendance records, and school year settings are not deleted under this clause and are retained for as long as your account remains open.

Before each clear date we will send notice to the email address on your account 7 days in advance, and for those 7 days we will make every student on your account downloadable so that you may save your records. Moving to a paid subscription at any time before the clear date stops the process and retains your reports.

Your own deletion rights. You may delete a student and all of their records at any time from your dashboard, and you may request deletion of your entire account by contacting us. Deletion carried out at your request is immediate and permanent. Archiving a student is not deletion — archived students and their records are retained in full.

Changes to retention periods. If we change these retention periods we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email to the address on your account before the change takes effect. No change will shorten the retention period for reports already saved at the time of the notice.

7.Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
  • Upload content that is false, infringing, harmful, or that violates the rights or privacy of others;
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law;
  • Use automated means to scrape or harvest data without our written permission.

8.Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, templates, and branding, is owned by Homeschool Reports or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial homeschooling purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9.Homeschool Compliance Disclaimer

Homeschool Reports is a record-keeping tool, not a legal, educational, or accreditation authority. Homeschool laws and requirements vary by state and change over time. Any state-specific information we provide is for general guidance only and is not legal advice.

Attendance goals and state requirements. The Family Attendance Tracker may display a suggested attendance goal based on the state in your billing address, together with a plain-language summary of that state’s instructional-time requirement. Those figures are compiled from publicly available sources, are reviewed periodically rather than continuously, and may not reflect recent changes in the law, differences by grade level, or the particular legal option you homeschool under. Many states set no instructional-time requirement at all, and any goal shown for those states is a personal target rather than a legal obligation. Hour totals are estimated from the days you record and are not a record of hours actually taught. This is not legal advice — confirm the exact requirements with your state before relying on any goal, count, or report produced by the Service.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the homeschool laws that apply to you, including requirements for attendance, testing, notification, and record retention. Documents generated by the Service do not guarantee acceptance by any school, government agency, college, or other institution.

10.Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, payment processors and hosting and security services) and may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.

11.Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including student records. Please review it carefully.

12.Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13.Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that documents generated will meet the requirements of any particular authority.

14.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Homeschool Reports and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, records, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

15.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Homeschool Reports and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.

16.Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

17.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service.

18.Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Homeschool Reports regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

19.Contact Us

If you have questions about these Terms, please reach us through our Contact page. We’re happy to help.
